Composites
Composites are made by powder “spheroidizing” in a specialist furnace with a controlled atmosphere. They are intended for detonation (Class “M”), plasma spraying and surfacing (classes “C” and “K”) of wear-resistant coatings for machine parts and mechanisms operating in conditions of fretting corrosion , abrasive wear, under normal and elevated temperatures.
M – small (0-63 microns)
С – average (63-160 microns)
K – large (160-280 microns)
The letters in the marking of the composite mean:
“CP” – a composite powder
“WC” – tungsten carbide
“Co” – cobalt
“CrC” – chromium carbide
“N” – nickel
Chemical composition:
WCCo-25 (tungsten carbide cobalt-25)
Composite powder VK-25 is used in gas-thermal application techniques for detonation spraying (Class “M”), plasma spraying and surfacing (Class “K”) of wear-resistant coatings for machine parts and mechanisms operating in conditions of fretting corrosion, abrasive wear, under normal and elevated temperatures.
Chemical composition:
Tungsten carbide-balance, cobalt – 23-27%
The content of particles (%)
